Taiwan stocks ended 1.07 percent lower on Thursday as defensive shares such as car makers and biotech counters weighed, both down more than 2.5 percent. The main TAIEX index fell 82.01 points to 7,595.46, extending losses from 0.41 percent at market opening. Electronics shares lost 0.7 percent while financial shares shed 1.7 percent. The Taiwan dollar was up T$0.056 to stand at T$29.046.
